I’ve seen far too many similar sites come and go over the years, (and of losing friends and posts) but NBN seems to have ‘weathered the storm’…so far! It’s not perfect, but it’s a heck of a lot better than it was in previous years. But if we aren’t willing to pay for having an area where we can interact , that situation could change too. Web hosting and domain names aren’t free, and we can’t just expect the site owners to keep forking money out of their own pockets, when we're the ones getting the most benefit from it. It’s not that pricey either (about $1.40/week for a 12 month membership), and if it means having a relatively secure and long term online ‘home’, I’m quite happy to contribute. After all you can’t have everything for nothing!
